Mr. Harold Abernathy graduated from Southside High School in 1961. He attended Jacksonville State for 2 years. He worked at the Steel Plant for 37 years. He has been a custodian at Southside High School for 3 years.

Mr. Ronald Maeger graduated from Southside High School in 1962. He was involved in football and FFA. He has worked at AAA Pottery for 30 years and Wal-Mart for 2 years.

 Mr. Tony McGlaughn is a 1965 graduate of SHS, where he was an all-county football player. He worked 20 years driving an 18-wheeler, and 18 years for the Department of Transportation. He is fire chief for the Whorton Bend Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Joan Roberson has been on the staff at SHS for 1 year. She has two children and enjoys motorcycle riding, river activities, and the outdoors.
