Future Teachers of Alabama is a club which promotes education as a career and supports our education system in general. Proceeds from our fund raising are used to support our administrators, teachers, and students.
   For the past three years we have focused on the needs of our own school, particularly our library's needs. While there are still many needs in our library and school, FTA has attempted to make headway in those needs by raising and donating several hundred dollars to Southside's library fund.
   Students in FTA have participated in teacher shadowing, book drives, and other activities which help them to appreciate and understand teaching as a career.
